Glossery of Lacrosse Terms

Double Team -  In lacrosse refers to a defensive alignment in which two defensive players are assigned to guard a single offensive player.  This usually results in an unguarded player on the field that is now open.

Lacrosse IQ - Lacrosse IQ refers to a deeper understanding of the game.  It is the understanding of why we do what we do in a given situation.  It is comprised of strategy, observation and assessment, and making a decision of the necessary action to take.  An example of lacrosse IQ is knowing that when I am in possession of the ball an the defensive team double-teams me, that I need to look for the player that is now ungarded by a defensive player.
